Decisions/ Minutes:

Bologna Process Coordination Board met at Senate Hall under the chairmanship of Bologna Coordination Board President, Prof. Dr. Muharrem Certel on Tuesday, 24 May 2011 between 14:00-16:00 p.m. In the meeting, firstly MEYOK meeting decisions which dated 18 May 2011 were discussed. After that, about the Review Meeting of Heads of BCC which held in Ankara on 20 May 2011 by HEC, summary information was given by Prof. Dr. Burhan OZKAN, Coordinator of the Bologna. After, the issue of the publication of Course Information Package Templates (English) interviewed, the issue of the reporting courses list which Course Information Packages incomplete to Bologna Process Coordination Office and Rectorate (BCC Presidency) by the Unit Coordinators were discussed. In addition to the agenda of the meeting, publishing Instructor and Course Evaluation Questionnaires, in the University’s web page were interviewed. In the meeting, finally, general assessments of the Bologna Process works were made.

In this context these decisions have been taken:

1. With in the scope of MEYOK meeting which held on 18 May 2011,

a) Categories and credits of elective courses which will be applied in the Vocational Schools Units (required for the program, elective for the student) determined as follows:

  •  In the main areas of  Engineering, Architecture and Building, Computer, Environmental Protection, Agriculture, Health, Security Services (6 ECTS); Quality Assurance and Standards course (1 ECTS, 1+1), Business Ethics (1 ECTS, 1 +1), Communication (1 ECTS, 1 +1), Environmental Protection (1 ECTS, 1 +1), Research Methods and Techniques (1 ECTS, 1 +1), First Aid (1 ECTS, 1 +1)
  • In the Social Services, Business and Management, Personal Services, Art, Law Programs (6 ECTS); Quality Management System (1 ECTS, 1 +1), Business Ethics (1 ECTS, 1 +1), Communication (1 ECTS, 1 +1), Business Management (1 ECTS, 1+1), Research Methods and Techniques (1 ECTS, 1 +1),  First Aid (1 ECTS, 1 +1)

b)  Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics courses, if considered necessary as a result of linking with program competencies, will be implemented in course schedule with the decision of the related Program Committee,

c) Programs which mathematic course necessarily include in the curriculum, can place mathematic course for one semester and 3 ECTS credits (2 theory and 2 theoretical course lessons) in their programs; Program Committees of Programs which will feature in different levels of Mathematics course in the curriculum can choose one or a few of the this courses to place in the curriculum with in the framework of the program competencies and course learning gains; General Mathematics for Vocational Schools (2 ECTS, 2+0), Commercial Mathematics (2 ECTS, 2+0), Mathematics I for Vocational Schools (3 AKTS, 2+2), Mathematics II for Vocational Schools (3 AKTS, 2+2)

d) Common Compulsory Courses within the scope of IKMEP would place in which semester will be reported to Bologna Coordination Office until 03 June 2011 by Directorates of Vocational Schools.

2. To determine ECTS credits 1 ECTS for Courses, which is given pursuant to numbered 2547 Higher Education Law’s Article 5i provisions, in future years will be proposed to interview at the Senate,

3. Course Information Package Templates and Course Catalogs publication in the web page will be begun, if Automation System not comes into use until 30 May 2011,

4. After 2 days at the end of the exams, Instructor and Course Evaluation Questionnaires, will be published as a prerequisite for students who want to learn examination score,

5. A cover letter will be written to Units by Rectorate, about the completion of translating Course Information Package Templates in English until 01 September 2011,

6.For reporting courses which Course Information Packages incomplete to Deans / Directorates by Departments / Programs Coordination a cover letter will be written to Units by Rectorate,

7.Courses which Course Information Packages incomplete will be reported to Bologna Coordination Office and Rectorate (BCC Presidency) by the Unit Coordinators,

8. Members of the Bologna Process Coordination Board will be participated to the draft work of Education and Training Exam Regulations,

9. The inclusion of the dates which related to the Bologna Process Works in the 2011-2012 Academic Calendar will be interwieved in the Senate.
