Decisions/ Minutes:

Bologna Process Coordination Board hold their meeting on Friday, 06 May 2011 between 10:30 – 12:00 under the chairmanship of Bologna Coordination Board Vice President Prof.Dr. Burhan OZKAN in the Senate Room. In the meeting, firstly, for ensuring IKMEP in compliance with Bologna Process works MEYOK, Board of Directors meeting which will be held on 12 May 2011 particularly with the participation of Vocational Schools Directors and Deputy Directors and related parties were interviewed. Then, a presentation about Vocational Schools training programs and IKMEP was done by Vocational Schools Coordinator Prof.Dr. Bulent Topcuoglu and information was given about the board's work by the Bologna Process Sub-Committee Heads. Finally, general assessments of the Bologna Process works were made.

In this context these decisions have been taken:

1.Ensuring IKMEP in compliance with Bologna Process works,

2.The meeting of MEYOK Board of Directors will be 12 March 2011 at 10.00 in the Senate Hall,

3.The study which prepared related to the Vocational Schools training programs by Vocational Schools Coordinator Prof. Bulent Topcuoglu will be sent to the Vocational Schools Directorates before the meeting,

4.Numbered 2547 Higher Education Law’s Article 5i provisions will be implemented in the Vocational Schools programs,

5.Coordination and cooperation will be ensured in terms of curriculum in the Vocational Schools where the same programs present for structuring Vocational Schools programs in line with the Bologna Process,

6.Under the General Assembly Resolution, Basic Information Technology course which is included in the common core courses categories, is considered equivalent to Information and Communication Technology course issues will be discussed in the MEYOK,

7.Program and curriculum development commission will be created for making strategic plans in curriculum development and opening programs within Bologna Coordinator and MEYOK also the issue of providing continuity and integrity on this issue will be discussed in the MEYOK meeting,

8.The courses within the scope of IKMEP when taking place in the program, except for the specified required courses, with the vocational courses 20-25 ECTS elective courses 100 ECTS and providing a total of 120 ECTS will be taken in the program,

9.When taking into consideration the credit and the contents of the common and compulsory courses which envisiged to be in Vocational Programs; because of differences will ocur with Programs that do not apply IKMEP, common courses which proposed in IKMEP will be rearranged in terms of credit and content and will be implemented all of the University's Vocational Programs,

10. Program regulations which proposed for vocational schools will be discussed in MEYOK Board of Directors meeting’s afternoon session which will be held on 12 May 2011,

11."Introduction Week" activity which proposed by Student Participation and Social Dimension and starting from September 14 and last for 2 weeks will be arranged by Health, Culture  & Sport Department in accordance with the Academic calendar,

12. Works for Akdeniz University’s “Disabled Students Regulation Draft” will be concluded.
