BS Coordination Board met at Senate Hall under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Muharrem Certel on Friday, 25 March 2011 at 9:30–12:00 a.m. In the beginning of meeting, BCC meeting conducted on 23th March 2011 was evaluated. In the next part of the meeting, Prof.Dr.Burhan Ozkan made a presentation about “Diploma Supplement (DS) Label Application Action Plan and Guide” and participants’ opinions were collected.  After that the job description of “BP Curriculum Development and measurement and evaluation commission (PDME)” which was prepared by BP Coordination Board was discussed. Later, the constitution of an “Elective Courses Pool Commission” with in the content of BS adaptation process was elaborated. The supplementary agenda on the draft plan of “Information Week” which was offered by Sub Commission of Student Participation and Social Dimension was discussed.

In this context:

  1. “Diploma Supplement (DS) Label Application Action Plan and Guide” deveolped by BPCO was accepted,
  2. In the context of Diploma Supplement (DS) Label Application Action Plan and Guide, assigning tasks to the related units in order to enhance the application of DS Label on time,
  3. In the context of Diploma Supplement (DS) Label Application Action Plan, the importance of  coordination of units with each other and their punctuality to achieve the DS Label goals,
  4. Language  should be checked by Units  on the DS information before sending to “Department of Student Affairs,
  5. Inviting an expert from National Agency in a meeting of Coordination Commission to be conducted in April and asking info about DS Label,
  6. After completing the regulations of DS Label according to the action plan suggested by BPC, applying for DS Label  in 2012,
  7. The suggestion of assigning Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selçuk Uygun as the chair and Assist. Prof.  Dr. Bayram Bıcak as the assistant chair to the Curriculum Development and Measurement and Evaluation Commission (PDME ) was accepted,
  8. The  job description for PDME commission suggested by BPC was accepted,
  9. The controlling of the outputs of program and subject qualifications prepared by units via sampling procedure by PDME commission,
10. The PDME commission evaluations regarding to program and subject qualifications need to be reported weekly tp BPCO,
11. Initiating the measurement and evaluation tasks as of September 2011 and developing an action plan by PDME commision in this context,
12. Participation of assistant chair of PDME Assist. Prof.Dr.Bayram Bıçak, to the Total Quality Commission works of university.
13.In the adaptation process of BP, at least 25% of the total ECTS has to be elective courses; however, what percent of the 25% of the elective courses will be selected from in or out subject field will not be limited,
14. It will be helpful to constitute and Elective Courses Pool Commission in line with BP adaptation process,
15.Presentation of Draft Plan regarding to Information Week activities for freshmen beginning from 2011-2012 suggested by  “Sub Commission of Student Participation and Social Dimension” via controlling by General Directorate of Health and Culture (GDHC),
16.The responsible unit for student information week activities was decided to be GDHC.
