Decision/Minute :

Bologna Coordination Committee (BCC) met at senate hall on Friday, 19 October 2012 between 10:00-12:00 a.m. The meeting start with the opening Prof.Dr.Muharrem Certel's, who is president BCC and vice rector, speech. The meeting continue with the Prof.Dr. Burhan Özkan’s, who is adviser to the rector and International Relations Coordinator, presentation which is about “Akdeniz University International Relations Office and Bologna Process Harmonization Studies”. Then Bologna Process 2012-2013 Academic Year Business Schedule is negotiated in the meeting. The meeting was ended with taking the opinions and suggestions of participants.

In this context these decisions have been taken:

1. To announce that on the website of Bologna Process and International Relations Office that works and transactions about Bologna Process will continue to do under the roof of Bologna Coordination Office which was established on the 8th of December 2010 to perform Bologna Process works effective and sustainable in all departments of our university.

2. To continue to Rectorship Briefing Files application, which is generated and presented to the rectorship by Bologna Coordination Commitee about studies related with BP adaptation process carried by our other departments before the International Relations Office has been created, by International Relations Coordination Commitee that included in International Relations Office.

3. To be continued the activities of Programme Development and Assessment and Evaluation Commission, established within the Bologna Process adaptation studies and organising very useful education seminar, in the new academic year.

4. To continue to the Bologna Process İnforming Meetings in the next period because these meetings serve the purpose of interiorising the Bologna Process, Curriculum Revision Work Schedule, application and evaluation of ECTS questionnaire, and 32 information sharing meetings about DS Label.

5. To maintain Bologna Process Coordination Commitee studies on a monthly basis within the ICC, which were studied on a weekly basis by the president of the council within the Bologna Coordination Office.

6. Although the internalisation studies of Bologna Process norms and principles will be continued under the roof of International Relations Office with the same determination and work tempo, to remind that Bologna Coordination Commitees are the first degree liable fort he Bologna Process adaptation studies in the universities.

7. To maintain the determination and work tempo,that have performed in all departments of our university about Bologna Process adaptation studies, in 2013 as it was in 2012, firstly in BCC, BPCC and Bologna Coordination Office.

8. To make application for the ECTS in 2013 as a result of maintaining the effective participations and contributions of especially top management of our university and all other departments of our university.

9. Because it is crucial that publishing of Lecture Information Packages in Turkish and English without any mistake, to correct their deficincies if any department have deficiency about this subject.

10. As stated in the presentation given at the meeting, 2012-2015 Bologna Process Studies in our University will be established by the priority areas stated below, according to Bucharest Declaration which was published after 26-27 April 2012 Bologna Ministers Conference;

a. To develop our education programs in the manner that will enhance empoyability, life-long learning and enterpreneurial abilities

b. To make the ECTS and DS Label applications in our university based on learning attainment

c. To provide the conditions that will strenghten reformist teaching methods and student-centered education in our university and to provide conditions to shareholders and students to take part in management system.

d. To get more information by International Relations Office about “Peer Learning” and “Recognition of Prior Learning” to perform Bologna reforms better. 

e. To enhance the quality of higher education and employability of our students, to increase the “Dynamism”.

11. To obey completely to the Bologna Process Studies 2012-2013 Academic Period Business Schedule that presented in the meeting. In this context,

a. To complete sign in process of the BP Information Package Templates ( A-B-C-D-E-F and G charts) that in charge of Head of the Information Transaction, over new e-Akdeniz Automation System and to publish these templates both English and Turkish on the web site of our university until 1st January 2013.

b. To conduct ECTS Survey, Instructor and Evaluation of Course Surveys over Survey Management System (SMS) between the date of 17-18 December for the fall semester and 13-14 May for the spring semester.

c. To conduct the Student Satisfaction Survey over the SMS and between the date of 21-27 January 2013.

d. To take shareholders’ opinions about each education level between the date of 18-19 February 2013.

e. To hold the Spring Semester BCC Meeting at the date of 15 January 2013.

12. To send Bologna Process Studies 2012-2013 Academic Period Business Schedule to all our departments with an official letter.

13. After questionnaire studies in the scope of Bologna Process (Student Satisfaction Survey, Instructor and Evaluation of Course Survey and ECTS Survey), survey management system are attached to eAkdeniz Automatision System,because of they are done via automatision system,subsequent to studies are completed,before system will be opened to all our branches,by pilot schemes are being done in some our branches,then it is generalised to.

14. Because the recent developments in higher education loads new and very important charges to International Relation Offices, to Information Transaction and Head of Registrar’s Office, to accelerate the studies to make our departments more repetative, functional and active to accommodate them to the recent conditions.

15. To take determined and new steps to create total quality management organization in our university in the next years because recent legal reforms and developments make to the universities to provide quality guaranty in all activity areas obligatory.

16. To charge Head of the IT Department Ass.Prof.Dr. Murat Turhan with the member of BCC in 2012-2013 academic year.

17. To provide participation to the “BCC Report Information Entry Education” which will be in the CoHE and then to give information to the BCC members about the subject.
